1 - ASASE YE DURU - Divinity of Mother Earth
Asase Ye Duru—literally meaning “the earth has no weight”
The Asase Ye Duru symbol represents power, providence, and divinity.
Asase Ye Duru emphasizes the importance of the Earth and its preservation.
This symbol represents the importance of respecting and nurturing the earth.
It is a reminder to never act in ways that might directly or indirectly harm the Earth.

My design is based on the Assue Ye Dure symbol and the earth as a continuous and evolving circle of life and change.


2 - Adinkra (ä-diŋ-krä) symbol for strength - Dwennimmen
Dwennimmen means ram’s horns. The symbol is created from a bird’s eye view of the two rams butting heads. A ram will courageously fight when provoked but may submit to slaughter when necessary. Sometimes even a strong & confident person has to also be humble. Adinkra (ä-diŋ-krä) symbols are visual representations of messages conveying ancient traditional wisdom relevant to aspects of life and the environment. Adinkra symbols were developed by the Akan people of Ghana.


3 - The rooster is a symbol of good luck.
Having some form of a rooster in your kitchen is said to make the occupants feel good and bring good luck.
