This listing is for the Slalom Run Beanie pattern. The zigzag stitches reminded me of slalom skiing. They create a unique texture on the hat. I have labeled it as an intermediate level pattern due to the unusual way to work this stitch. However, if you are adventurous newer knitter you can master this! I have included pictures as well as short videos on how to work this stitch.
The pattern is written for bulky (5) weight yarn and includes a bonus pattern to use super bulky (6) weight yarn. It is intended for an average adult female head of 21”-22”. It's not written but has suggestions on how to make it smaller so you can make adorable matching sets.
