Quilt is approximately 9 inches x 9 inches. Background is q designer cotton padded with 3 layers of quilt batting and enhanced with marble printed cotton squares and colorful flower appliques. Each flower is further enriched with free form machine embroidery stiches in black thread. A cord hanger is stitched onto the back.

This is an original design handcrafted by me in my smoke free home. Each piece is unique and no two end up being exactly alike so they are little pieces of art.

My technique involves utilizing the raw fabric edges and “non-traditional” stitches. Raw edges and irregular stitches are intentional parts of the design. It’s supposed to be a little messy! If a wayward thread bothers you trim it with scissors but do not pull on it. Also, treat like a piece of art - do not wash by submerging in water. Clean by shaking off any dust with a soft brush or by softly vacuuming.

Note: It is impossible to photograph creations made with fabrics and have them show perfectly on various computer monitors and with different light bulbs, so colors will not be absolutely the same as the picture, but I do attempt to make them as close as possible, and I photograph in different light sources to give an idea of how they might look. Every item in my shop is handmade one at a time by me and therefore each will be similar but unique. Also, a majority of my creations use batik cottons which by their nature vary in pattern and color. These are high quality fabrics that in many cases are nicer "in person" than the picture.
