Handcrafted steampunk-fantasy hat in aged leather, inspired by an enchanted forest. This unique top hat is adorned with hand-carved mushrooms, decorative moss, and small ivy-like leaves, giving the impression that it grew in a magical undergrowth. The natural brown and green hues, combined with the patinated leather and antique metal buckle, create a mystical aesthetic that blends fairy tales, adventure, and the spirit of the forest.

This hat is entirely handmade, using high-quality vegetable-tanned leather.

I primarily use vegetable-tanned leather, meaning animal leather tanned using plant extracts (oak bark, chestnut bark, mimosa bark, etc.) through a slow and non-polluting process. This leather is not made waterproof by tanning, which allows it to be worked with water and sculpted, dyed, or molded as desired.
That's why it's important to care for your item to nourish it and ensure it lasts and retains its luster. The leather will develop a patina and darken slightly over time, which is a normal process.

For maintenance: apply a colorless beeswax-based balm/polish with a linen cloth, or failing that, a soft cloth or a small sponge, using light pressure and applying in small circles. Allow the polish to penetrate the leather, then after a few minutes, buff the leather by rubbing it lightly with a wool cloth or microfiber cloth to enhance the shine and warm the wax. Also apply the balm to the edges of the leather, pressing more firmly on these areas with the cloth and balm.
Depending on the item you wish to maintain and its use, you can repeat this operation as you wish.
