Do you know what it means to miss New Orleans?

This darling book is my third purchase of Olivia’s endearing works. I discovered Olivia while searching for that special something for my son’s destination wedding in NOLA. The first, an oversized “Welcome” poster displayed at the Rehearsal Dinner. The second, a commissioned piece of the wedding venues, a gift to my son and daughter-in-law. I have given this book to my son and daughter-in-law and special guests as a fond remembrance of their magical weekend. As an artist, Olivia captures New Orleans in a way that makes you want to return to this wonderful city. As a businesswoman, Olivia is a true professional, very responsive, and by the time you receive the finished product (well before the stated time!), you want to continue to do business with her. I look forward to seeing more of Olivia’s creations.

Every once in a while I have seen a piece of art, read a book or poem, or heard a song that just impacted all my senses. I felt so fortunate, and this is how I felt when I saw Olivia Motley's book "Do You Know What It Means To Miss New Orleans." When I read this delightful story about Huey the hummingbird and his insightful circle of friends, I knew I had found a treasure to share. Credit Olivia with the beautiful illustrations as well. Anyone who has experienced the mystique of New Orleans will appreciate the little bird's dilemma and smile as his friends offer their advice. The book makes an especially thoughtful gift, what I call a bit of lagniappe. I am giving a copy to my daughter for Christmas. Born in Louisiana, NOLA is her favorite city. Now Colorado is her home and she knows what it means to miss New Orleans.

I ordered this as a present for my girlfriend because New Orleans is our favorite place in the world & we go there at least a few times per month just to walk around the city. We’re moving soon so I bought this as a present for her. The first book that came in got damaged during delivery.
