Intermediate (Requires knowledge of sl st and hdc, and working in the back loop only).

- SIZE -
Hat brim measures approximately 18" around (stretches to over 21”), and finished hat measures just under 9” long.

- YOU WILL NEED -

* Approximately 110 yards Super Bulky (#6) weight yarn (40 yards Color A, 70 yards Color B). Examples use Malabrigo Rasta in Natural and Boreal, and Wool Ease Thick and Quick in Wheat, Coney Island and Astroland.

* Size 10mm Crochet Hook (N/P), or size to obtain correct gauge

* Yarn needle and scissors

* Faux Fur Pom Pom (optional)

* Stitch marker

Many possibilities of color combos. After figuring out the right tension as I crochet tightly in worsted yarn I have the pattern figured out. My first attempt with the butterscotch brim I was lose so I actually didn’t need the full row count of the brim but on the raisin I did because I had tighter tension. Plus I noticed you need lose tension on the body or it will be a very snug fit & almost too tight for my preference & I needed an extra round on the body too. Haven’t tried this pattern with Malabrigo Rasta but someday hope too!
