Translated and with Notes by J. G. Lockhart. "With Numerous Illustrations from Drawings by William Allan, David Roberts, Henry Warren, C. E. Aubrey and William Harvey. the Borders and Ornamental Vignettes by Owen Jones. Brown cloth cover with Gilt stamped Decorative border and Central Decorative Title to front & spine. Blind stamped decoration to rear. Edges Beveled. Top Page Edges Gilt. Ballads include El Cid. Blue, Red and Gilt Decorative Title Page followed by another Title Page with Red & Blue Decorative Border. Ballads preceded by a Biographical Sketch of John Gibson Lockhart and a Portrait, protected by Tissue Guard. 10 1/2" Tall. Some edge wear. A few light spots of foxing, pages generaly in very good, clean condition. No inscriptions. Weighs 1.4 Kilos so SHipping outside UK will be extra. This book published in 1856 is in very good condition, cloth slightly loose at the top of the spine but the spine is solid and undamaged, the corners of the cover are slightly blunted, age foxing to some of the blank pages. Otherwise excellent condition. Please see the images provided.

It is not easy to determine the price of shipping items over sea's easily so I estimate when putting up these prices which might seem a bit steep. If however when it comes to shipping the price works out to be cheaper than specified I will refund the difference to you when you let me know the item has been received.
