A fine art print from an original 42"x66" mixed media charcoal drawing on panel titled "Building".
These fine art prints are produced on Somerset Velvet paper (heavyweight, high quality, archival paper) using Epson Ultrachrome professional fade-resistant archival inks. Please note that print size is the dimension of the printed image itself. Your print will arrive with a white border slightly larger than this to allow for easy framing. This listing is for a print only; it will arrive unmatted and unframed.
I hope to provoke thoughts of abandoned houses as witnesses to life, surviving as empty shells wrapped around the passage of time. These pieces reflect and support the idea of discovering beauty in decay, of looking past the discarded and rejected to see the energy and life that once existed within.
Process is a crucial, and highly evident, element of this work. The surface of the original drawing is intended to parallel the weathered surface of the house itself, while alluding to the countless layers of time and events that made it that way.

I know this fine art print of my original drawing will find a cozy home on your wall. The imagery inspires memories of rural history and days past. The mixed-media layers and contrast in this piece makes it an instant eye-catcher.
