My tote bags are one of a kind made from authentic vintage US military duffel bags from approx. 1940-1960. My goal is to bring vintage military duffel bags out of storage and back to life by making it into a useful, functional item. Keeping as much of the original look as possible, original stitching has been intentionally left in tact where possible. Put it on and they truly give you a sense of pride.

This bag shows minimal distress and wear and has the original duffel bag handle with a working snap pocket. It is a dark army green heavy wax canvas with a heavy (5-6 oz) dark brown semi stiff smooth cowhide leather. It is normal for this leather to have slight blemishes and will scratch with use. Scratches typically rub out easily using your finger and/or thumb or just leave them for added character. The inside pocket was made from the bottom of the duffel bag. It is 11" x 9" and will hold phone and other essentials. Swivel claw clip closure.

Bag measurements: flat 22 1/2" long (18" long at the bottom) x 15" high x 4 1/2" wide. The dark brown cowhide adjustable leather strap is 1 1/2" wide x 51" long. Hardware is antique brass. Leather is locally sourced.

Every elbee bag is unique, you will not find another identical. Every military duffel bag is unique in color, wear and tear, markings. Love the duffel with the front snap pocket, but it is at times more difficult to find. Perfect tote bag that travels well and makes a great airline carry-on.
