Documenting an early South Pacific cruise of the U.S. Navy from 1842 to 1844, this printable, ephemera-infused Paper Pack features extracts from the actual Captain's diary. It is a total of 15 images. Twelve images are doubled up so you can either cut them individually or leave them together and fold in half to create two Midori-sized book pages. These are printable images that once cut / folded will be sized for a faux midori traveler's journal notebook. Insert pages feature clips from original cover, ledgers, and observation journals that were digitally clipped from museum and library works. There are also three full-page coordinating liners that can be printed on the other side of the pages so the backs of your printed pages can have a coordinating vintage pattern One full-page liner is lined, one graphed and one blank.

If you use the default in many photo and graphic tools to print images, they will likely alter the size because they will "fit" to the page. ("Fit to page" is fine for full page images if your printer doesn't print to the edge.)

If it is a pdf file, open by right-clicking on the file to print and then select "open with" Adobe Reader. If you don't have Adobe Reader, you can download it for free. Once the image is opened, select File --> Print, then set to "Actual Size" and make sure the proper orientation is selected - portrait or landscape. The orientation will vary from item to item so check each image. After you make the selections, check the preview. If all of the images are in the clear, not gray, area, click the [Print] button.

To print actual size if you are a Microsoft user and don't want to use the pdf file method above, is to open the jpg file by right-clicking on the file and selecting "open with" Paint. Once open, select File --> Print --> Print Preview --> Page Setup. Select the appropriate orientation, put zeros in all of the margins (Paint will fill in the default for your printer). Next select "Adjust to 100% normal size". Note: If the X in the gray preview area is not completely within the dotted lines, it is ok, however you should test print because there may be blank pages printed and you don't want to waste premium paper. Select [OK] and then [Print].

Due to Etsy's restriction on number of files, I sometimes deliver my designs via .zip files. For these files to work properly on all operating systems, make sure that you use the "Extract all" when unzipping the file. Not all computers will recognize permissions if you bypass the extract process and open the files contained in the zip folder directly. On rare occasions, customers have reported a permissions error when trying to print. If this happens to you, right click the file properties to make sure it isn't encrypted, and that you have ownership or permission.
