The beautiful dichroic glass pendant is just fabulous. The image was etched into the glass and then fused to a square shape and then reshaped to its round shape on a lap grinder and refused for strength and durability. The pendant comes with a sterling silver bail to be used with any chain.
you can choose between. leather cord with an adjustable knot or bead closer and silver bail for any necklace you like. see photos

I have been working with image transfer on the dichroic glass for the past ten years, and I have many silhouette Handmades, all my pendants are made in my studio in new jersey (smoke-free studio). All pendants are fused, and The glass is then annealed and slowly cooled for strength and durability. After cooling and depending on how the piece results, it may require being shaped and trimmed, then put back in the kiln and "fire-polished" to a smooth finish.

Dichroic glass is a high-tech spin-off of glass used in the space industry. The extraordinary brilliance of Dichroic glass can only be experienced first hand. The colors are very vivid, metallic and change according to the angle they are viewed from.
