Babay is a unique warm, handmade long wool coat with a hood.
This Ukrainian label is dedicated to eco-consciousness and thoughtful consumption. The Skins coats are beautiful collectibles that are handmade entirely without electricity. The wool is spun and then woven on a replica of an 18th century loom. The garments are sewn together and then dipped in a local river and dried on the riverbank. The result is a one-of-a-kind piece like this gorgeous Babay coat, which has a wispy hood, colorful triangles on the front hem and a bright geometric pattern on the back. In brown color. Made in Ukraine.

I get so many compliments when I wear this and it keeps my head warm. It’s very high quality and the seller was very responsive. It made it through customs with no problem although US customs did inspect the box and reseal it.

I like it, it is very elegant. It’s a bit big on me. I measured small according to the size reference, but I was told M or S would be fine by the shop owner, so not sure if I was sent a small or a medium. The color is kind of like organic yellowish not bleached white as written in the description. Shipping took forever, otherwise would happily recommend it.
