Homeschool Routine/ Chart/ Planner for Primary School Students

Does homeschooling/ crisis schooling your children during the Covid-19 pandemic send feelings of anxiety and dread through you?

Well, as a mother of 4, 2 toddlers and 2 primary school aged children who are now homeschooling for an indefinite period of time, I knew I needed a realistic, easy to follow, structured kind of routine to our day. I created this chart for us at home to use for personal use only. It worked like a charm from the first day! As I began to share it with many of my friends who were struggling with reluctant learners at home and noticing how much their homes turned from chaos to calm within a day of a using this chart, I knew I had to share it with the world in the hope that I could help more families cope with homeschooling as well as all the extra pressures at home during this time.

I have a primary teaching background and have taught for nearly 10 years and I'm passionate about getting primary students learning in lots of different ways, not just from sitting behind their computer or desk during this time.

I've purposely designed this chart to be student-led so that parents can have as minimal or maximum input as they would like or as much as they can manage with work/sibling commitments throughout the day. Your children are encouraged to choose their own journal prompt that they'd like to write about, choose their own outdoor and indoor activity for the day (all included) and to finish the day by connecting with their parent by either talking or writing about their 'high' for the day and their 'low' for the day.

It's low pressure, easy to follow and makes the days FLY!

What makes this chart unique is that you can constantly switch your day up! More school work on Mondays? Add it in! Less school work on Fridays? Take it out! Walk in the afternoon today? Move it to the bottom of the chart!
