Howea is the botanical name for the Kentia palm - a popular houseplant. Without appearing kitschy, the pendant is simply cut out of pure brass - made entirely from a single material.
With its matt satin-like surface and the warm, subtle gold tone of its material, the chain is a very natural-looking piece of jewelry - for those who don't want to wear 'bling bling' but still want to wear feminine jewelry.

MATERIAL INFO
Brass is an alloy of copper and zinc. In its pure form, the metal is completely skin-friendly and, like silver, rarely triggers allergies.
In contrast to fashion jewelry made of coated metal mixtures, brass has an extremely good quality. Brass will never lose its subtle matt golden color but will tarnish over time, which is also the case with precious metals such as silver or gold. The pieces of jewelery are therefore characterized by their longevity. And it is precisely this property of changing its appearance through tarnishing that gives the piece of jewelry its very individual touch. Each piece of jewelry thus creates its own nostalgic charm through external influences. For these reasons, the bare brass pieces are not coated or lacquered.
Depending on the condition of the skin, their oxidation process runs more or less quickly or does not occur at all. This process can - if it should be undesired - be reversed with simple home remedies. For example, a several-minute bath in vinegar, lemon juice or even ketchup, followed by rinsing under running water, is suitable for this. A silver cleaning cloth or a special metal polish for brass or copper from the drugstore can also remove the oxidation. For more intensive oxidation, grinding with fine steel wool or very fine nail files with a flexible core (none made of metal) has proven itself.
