Soap made with pure coconut oil for a super creamy lather, perfect for all over, including the hair. Sweet smelling soap with fine cosmetic grade kaolin clay added to the soap which creates a silky lather and also helps to purify your skin. In hair care, kaolin clay is gentle and helps to clean the scalp without drying. It also calms inflammation and helps moisturise dry, brittle hair. Kaolin clay adds "slip" which is good for shaving too.

You can be sure of high quality ingredients and cruelty free soap that is also suitable for vegans. I make soap by hand using the traditional cold process method, with lots of love and individual attention to each piece. Unlike most commercial soaps, I leave in the naturally formed glycerine in all our soaps, because of its humectant properties that help attract moisture to the skin. Our soaps are not only healthy for all skin types but for the environment as well! Ditch the plastics in the bathroom, it's a new revolution!

HOW IS OUR SOAP PACKAGED?

Your soap will have an eco kraft paper band as shown. Each piece is then wrapped individually in coloured soft tissue paper for protection, sealed with a "Handmade with Love" sticker to finish it nicely. It is then put into a striped paper bag and posted in a manilla envelope. Larger orders will be posted in either a thicker Jiffy Green bag or a cardboard box. All packaging is recyclable, some is recycled.

Quick Tips To Use Your Soap Shampoo Bar

1) Lather the bar straight onto your hair or use your hand to create lather and transfer to your hair. Both ways work just fine. You don’t need much as the lather is rich. Just get your fingers right into the roots. Wash it twice if you have really hard water or if you have oily hair.

2) Rinse well with water. It may take a little longer to rinse out natural shampoo bars.

3) Follow with a weak vinegar rinse, e.g. a good splash of apple cider vinegar, any other vinegar or lemon juice (not more than 1 tsp if it's concentrated lemon juice) in a jug of warm water. This rinse will restore the natural PH balance of your hair; it closes the hair shaft and helps it shine. Rinse with fresh water. No vinegar smell will be left in your hair.

4) After the rinse you will notice that your hair feels “squeaky” clean and smooth and you may well be able to just comb through with a wide toothed comb. If hair is hard to comb through before it has transitioned, follow with a hair conditioner but you are likely to find you don’t even need conditioner as your hair adapts. Many people find this to be so. The natural oils in the soap do this job.

5) As a final step, you could put a few drops of your favourite essential oil in a half litre or so of water and just pour it over your hair for a scented and glossy finish. I use Rose Geranium or Tea Tree and it works great. It is also one that helps with hair growth. Always follow usage instructions on essential oils.

Our natural soap is handcrafted in Yorkshire, commonly known as God’s Own County for its natural beauty. The soap is 100% handmade using the traditional cold process method. It is made in small batches of 1.5kg and takes 4-6 weeks to rest, cure and become lovely mild bars of soap to enjoy. Each batch is hand mixed, poured, cut and wrapped by hand, giving each piece personal attention so that your bath or shower is a luxurious experience.
