Huge & impressive Ewer & Basin with its striking Art Nouveau pattern in blue and gold on white. In very fine condition. No chips. No cracks. No damage. Breathtaking.

Underneath is the 'double L' stamp usually associated with the Sèvres Porcelain Manufacturer in France. The vast sums achieved for Sèvres pieces inevitably resulted in other manufacturers or individuals re-creating 'Sèvres' style items and passing them off as the genuine article by adding the 'double-L' stamp. Some were poor copies, badly made, whilst others, such as this, became sought-after objects of desire in their own right, commanding high prices amongst collectors. Hence the quest for 'spurious' Sèvres continues to this day.

Even if the vintage Jug & Bowl here were not produced by Sèvres it is nonetheless an incredible set which displays very well. Perfect as a grand centrepiece in an entrance hall, shop window, hotel or as a dramatic photographic prop.

The Ewer is 10" or 25cms tall.
The Bowl is 15" in diameter and 4" tall (38 & 10cms).
