How do you manage custom tailored garments from afar?

I design with an easy sizing experience in mind, strategically balancing my designs to ensure a stress free, painless experience, and a flattering comfortable fit. With body measurements and few photos of the person I am able to create a well fitting garment, made specifically for you. Instead of fitting you inside a pre-conceived size, I fit the dress around you! So much better. A standard size is just a set of measurements in to which we are made to fit. By swapping those with your ACTUAL measurements, the result is much more accurate, flattering and comfortable. Standard sizing for ready to wear is also available however. How does sizing work?

Wedding dresses, unless they are one of a kind or samples, are all made to measure.This means I cannot make the dress until I have your accurate measurements and photos of you. I will email you a list of measurements I need to make your dress. For ready to wear, I can work with generic sizes but if you prefer a custom fit, you can simply provide the measurements needed, and I will cut it proportioned for you. If you can’t send me the measurements for whatever reason, choose the size closest to your body, and include a picture of yourself. Pictures help me proportion things well and are very useful! BRIDAL: how far from my wedding should I order my dress and how long will it take?

For a custom made wedding dress it is ideal to order about 3-4 months before the wedding. I can work with less time, up to a minimum of 4 weeks. Rush orders are available but fees may be involved, so do inquire before hand. To optimise my time, I organise my work around the wedding dates, not the dates of order. I will need to know the exact date of your wedding and will deliver your dress with about 4 weeks advance minimum, often more. If you feel more comfortable with more time, just let me know and I will work my schedule around that. I usually also have a selection of sample or one of a kind dresses in a few sizes that can be shipped out immediately provided that they fit you.

And how long does it take for ready to wear?

All custom ready to wear garments will typically be made and shipped within 10 workdays. Everything ships expedite so you would typically receive your garment within 10 workdays from date of order. Do inquire about rush order options.

Can I customise or alter any of your designs?

Yes! I love custom work and love to mix and match elements of my designs, so ask away! I do not do copies of other people’s designs, but feel free to send me reference images as inspiration as well. There is no fee involved, the price will be calculated as for all my designs, based on material and complexity and time involved in the making of it.

Can you help me with alterations?

Sometimes it is best to have certain things done locally (perfecting the length of a dress, shortening a strap, etc), but I am always available for advice and am willing to do alterations on your Larimeloom garment, usually free of charge, provided you pay for shipping back and forth. The best thing is to get in touch so we can discuss the issue.

May include: A cream-colored two-piece outfit, featuring a short-sleeved top and a flowing skirt. The skirt has a long train. The outfit is made of a soft, lightweight fabric. The person is holding a small bouquet of white flowers.

The Tarassaco wedding dress separates, but with a soft, flowing chiffon skirt, for those of you who are not in to organza. Relaxed, comfortable and sophisticated. This wedding dress outfit features two pieces, that blend effortlessly in to one when worn.

A loose fitting, boat neck blouse, with a little keyhole detail, paired with a flowing, soft chiffon skirt, with a smooth duchess satin waistband.

It is shown here with the Crepe de chine blouse worn out of the waistband, and a thin satin sash gathering it at the waist. You will have the option to wear the top inside the skirt as well, as show for the Dandelion in Organza. If you prefer a different sash or no sash, please let us know and we can arrange that for you.

I used two layers of the crepe-de-chine for the blouse, in order to achieve the clean, hem-less finish I was envisioning, while the skirt is made of four layers, loose, layered and flowing, with a smooth satin waistband. 

The top layers are cut on the bias, they fall and flow around your body in ripples of silk, just skimming your body, moving as if a constant breeze were blowing. It finishes behind in a medium length rounded train (optional).

The version in the photos shows the Ivory over Blush combination: the top layer and the blouse are ivory, whereas the under-layer of the skirt is blush.

The smooth duchesse silk satin waistband is meant to fit around the smallest part of your waist, elongating your figure and framing your top half. It does not add volume or visual girth your hips and flatters the widest range of figures.
It is styled with the 1 cm Poa silk satin belt, but it looks lovely with other sashes from our collection as well.

The individual items are available separately as well, as the Nymphea in chiffon skirt, and the Aster blouse.

The blouse will be lovely worn on it’s own after the wedding too, and the skirt can be shortened and dyed turning it in to a lovely floaty circle skirt, perfect for dancing!

• MATERIALS & CARE: 
100% silk. Dry clean only. Iron with a lot of steam and on a medium setting. Please test on an inner part of the garment.

The dress is entirely custom made to measure, so it will be sure to fit you perfectly and match your exact needs and requests. I will email you a detailed list of the measurements and information I need once you place the order. Elements may be customized.

• SHIPPING: 
If your wedding is less then 6 weeks way, please contact us before placing your order. I will use expedited Fedex shipping, that will deliver in about 3-4 workdays in most parts of the world.
