Plans include material lists and step by step instructions to build a sturdy, beautiful 4' long bench. The material list provided can easily be modified to build benches from 2' to 8' long using the step by step plans included.

These benches pair up well with all of our 2 x 4 table plans in our plans store, but look great anywhere! Built easily with strong, inexpensive 2 x 4 x 8's , these benches will hold up to the toughest of conditions. And yet, they look and fit in anywhere - from kitchen tables to porch and patio tables, to all by themselves in mudrooms and more.

The 4 foot bench uses just (5) 2 x 4 x 8's and goes together quickly with the most basic of tools. It can be cut and assembled in just a few hours, and then stained, painted, or left natural to match any decor.

Bench height is a standard 17.5 inches which works great with most tables - however, the plans are easy to modify if bench height needs to be altered.

1/8” Drill Bit for Pre-Drilling Holes
Level or Square

A chop/miter saw works best for making cuts, but a circular saw, jig saw, or even a hand saw will work as excellent options as well.
