Hadrian's Wall. Walking along the path of the 2000 year old wall you are filled with a sense of the history of the landscape. On a cold blustery day I thought of those Roman soldiers who had spent most of their lives in warmer climates only to be drafted to the cold northern frontier of the Empire.

Photographic print, available in various sizes, presented as either print only, or, some sizes are available presented in an optional picture mount. Measurements in inches. Frame not included. Measurements are for the paper size, but the prints have an approximately 10mm white border so that a thin strip of white is visible between the printed area and the mount, as demonstrated in my product shots. If you would like your prints printed borderless (useful when framing in an existing mount which isn’t the exact size of the print), please declare that in the message box at the time of sale.

MATERIALS and PROCESS

This photograph is printed using a silver halide process and traditional darkroom technology to produce one of the most archival forms of printing. This results in an incredibly durable print with exceptional sharpness and amazing lightfastness for extended longevity. These prints are high quality, being scratch and water resistant and highly fade resistant. They are printed on satin/lustre photographic paper which are less reflective than glossy paper and therefore offer a superior viewing experience.

The optional mounts are made from quality acid free whitecore and conservation mounts which are certified by the Fine Art Trade Guild and conservation-grade FSC certified.

*** The frame is not included. Everyone has different taste in frames, and it is important for customers to choose their own frame to suit where the artwork will be installed. The prints and optional mounts are a standard size and should fit ready-made frames from most retailers, or, you may wish to visit a professional framer to have a bespoke frame made. The choice is yours.
