Magnum Pea Eye, Beta Carrotine, & Squash think that with all the vitamin enriched foods available, it’s kind of redundant to eat actual vegetables. So play with your food.

Beta Carrotine & Squash are knit in the round on double pointed needles ( or circular needle & Magic Loop Method), with the eyeballs knit on picked up stitches or made separately & sewn on. Magnum Pea Eye combines flat knitting & knitting in the round for the pod, & the peas & eyeballs are made separately. This is an intermediate/advanced pattern with plenty of instructional photos & helpful links, & cheezombie is available for help via email as always.

The examples were knit with various worsted weight (8 or 10 ply) wool yarns on US size 3 (3.25 mm) needles & are about 6 inches tall/long, but the finished size will vary with choice of yarn & needles.

The pattern also includes modifications for making an eggplant & tomato, so it's like getting two extra vegetables for free!
