Elegant Antique Art Deco Desk Lamp. Beautifully Restored. Rose Gold Cast Iron Base. Uranium Glass Shell Shade in a Salmon Hue. Stunning!

This is an absolutely stunning antique Art Deco desk lamp. It has been beautifully restored. The exact make and date of origin is not known, but a safe guess would put this lamp in the early 1900's. The base is cast iron and made in two parts fitted together. We took the base through a meticulous restoration, stripping away years of oxidation and old paint coats. It has been refinished in a beautiful rose gold metal-infused rust-resistant coating. The elegant organic floral style in the form is still very clear and in excellent condition. The original electric cord and socket have been replaced. The cord is a taupe colored reproduction cloth-wrapped twisted pair style with an antique style reproduction plug. Both the cord and the plug are up-to-date, contemporary materials and well-insulated - they're only made to look antique. The original electric socket was severely damaged when we acquired the lamp and could not be saved, so we located a true vintage G.E. Co. lamp socket and polished it up a bit to replace the socket fixture. Such a beautiful lamp needed a very carefully selected shade, and we found the perfect match in this graceful Art Deco shell style glass shade. It is a lovely salmon color and in immaculate condition. The glass is uranium glass and when placed under black light it glows with a stunning fluorescent green color. We think it's the perfect compliment to the stand in both style and hue. The glass is very thick which makes the lamp a bit front-heavy so be sure to set it on a stable surface. We are including a standard size household lamp light bulb (E26). We recommend newer LED varieties of light bulb when it comes time to replace the bulb as these light bulbs produce less heat and will be gentler on the glass shade. The lamp shade angle can be adjusted somewhat, but when positioned at approximately 90 degrees, the lamp stands roughly 9 inches (23 cm) tall by 12 inches (30.5 cm) long by 5 inches (13 cm) wide. The cord has a length of approximately 8 feet. Plugs into a standard household outlet; 110V U.S.A. Only one available. Enjoy!
