This bias tape maker is unique in that it delivers double-folded tape in a single pass. That is, you get bias tape ready to make ties, bindings, or finishing, saving lots of time and manual work compared to traditional other bias tape makers. The output tape can go directly into an iron for pressing or into the sewing machine. Read ALL the feedback!
There is a how-to video at https://youtu.be/9r0nX6GE1Sc that shows what it does and how to use it. One important note is that users should be careful that the iron does NOT heat up the bias tape maker too much or it can soften and melt (after all it is made of plastic).
There is another video here from the Fantastic Laura that shows some clever tips and tricks on how to use it https://youtu.be/z6gWp4jdS6o.

Like all tools, mastery requires a little practice while you find the setup that will work best for you. So try a few times and we promise you'll get it: Thousands before you have.
The following sizes are available depending on the initial width of the fabric:
1.0" (25.4 mm) input : 1/4" (5.08 mm) output
1.5" (38 mm) input : 3/8" (9.5 mm) output
2.0" (50.8 mm) : 1/2" (12.5 mm) output
2.5" (63.5 mm) : 5/8" (15.8 mm) output
3.0" (76.2 mm) : 3/4" (19.05 mm) output
4.0" (101.6 mm) : 1" (25.4 mm) output. Note: This is not recommended for beginers as it requires a little more control and patience. Also, it can take 3" input and produce 1" folded (but not completely) tape.
3-Pack: Includes 1.0" (25.4 mm) input, 1.5" (38 mm) input, 2.0" (50.8 mm). Sorry, no substitutions.

For best functionality, the fabric has to be cut to the exact width, because the fabric must fit tightly inside the bias maker for it to be stable.
We have tested several fabrics of different thicknesses and stiffness, and all have worked so far, but lighter fabrics with tighter weave seem to be easier to use.
This gadget is the perfect helper to all the volunteers making face masks for the COVID-19 pandemic, or any quilters making bias tape.
The color of the actual piece may vary. In some cases, it may even have 2 colors, and there has even been a luck 3-color one.
Stay safe!
