These stands are available in natural and dyed woods. They offer great functionality while in use and a fun piece of art while waiting to be used!

Note: The Blonde wood used is a piece of figured maple.

The different colors across the front are 3 different pieces of wood veneer that are glued down to bamboo. The leg and shelf are either solid cherry or maple. The edges of each piece are hand softened to create a "picture frame" effect and for feel. The final step is 3 coats of spray varnish polished for a smooth protective coating.

The stands are 3 pieces that “friction” fit together so they pack and ship flat. The shelf on the stand has a hole for convenient cord access for charging your phone while on the stand. The shelf stop leaves space to accommodate most cases with the exception of a few very thick Otterbox versions. While that stand has a vertical orientation, it will hold a phone horizontally when needed - especially when watching video.

I am a Art Festival artist that does juried art shows along the East Coast and occasionally into the Midwest under the name Lost Art Woodworks. My work blends hardwoods, wood veneers, and often shell to create marquetry and inlaid mosaics. The resulting depictions are arranged along organic and geometric lines creating unique montages with each piece of wood and shell selected for contrast, complement, tone and color.

I began producing this phone stand 5 years ago and have made it in a myriad of colors. The name "In The Margins" is related to similar geometric drawings I made starting in middle school in the margins of my notes while in class. Who new that it would be what I was doing "In The Margins" that would be the most important things on those pages.
