Raven and crow have always been very important to me and capture my attention. Every time one soars and squawks overhead I have to stop and watch it fly out of sight.
Someone told me when I was a kid that crow are always an omen (I think they meant it as a throwaway comment really, and wasn't too important to them). They never explained what they meant or why, and I've thought a bit about that over the years. I also remember reading somewhere that they can fly between worlds. Our world and the spirit world, I guess. I can believe it. Plus, I've always admired Odin and like it when I meet Huginn and Muninn.
