What does Embosser Orientation mean?

As each insert plate will only create the impression in one direction, you will need to specify an orientation for your embosser Whichever direction that is chosen is the side of the page upon which the design will appear to be right side up Bottom Orientation If you are embossing an envelope flap, you would choose “bottom” as the plate will be set up so that the design appears right side up on the bottom of the paper. If you took this same insert plate and embossed the top of a card, the design would be upside down. Top Orientation If you are embossing a design on the top of a card, then you would select “top” as the orientation. When embossing, the card will be inserted upside down if you have the embosser handle facing you.

Are the embosser plates interchangable?

Yes! Our brand only. So if you have another type of embosser then our plates will not work. If you purchased the embosser from us then they will work. We offer Rectangle Plates 2x1" Standard 1.65" round plates Larger 2" round plates If you plan to emboss both the top of your card and the envelope flap, you will need two different insert clips, one with the top orientation and the other with the bottom. You would not need to purchase two full embossers, rather once you have the embosser, you the insert clips are interchangeable and you can switch between as many designs as you want!

I need to send my image to you how do I do it?

Please attach a high-quality version of your logo to the messaging here on etsy by pressing on the small attachment button. All images are converted to black and white so please remember that. Text over an image usually will not work so please try not to send these in. Ensure the design is not fuzzy this means the quality is low. The better the quality the better the impression!

My embosser arrived but the plates did not come with it?

We get this sooooo often! The plates are tucked away nicely in the embosser :) There are instructions included with all embossers so you should be able to find it.
