However, please note that custom-made necklaces and earrings are non-returnable due to hygiene considerations. Shipping Costs for Returns & Exchanges: Shipping costs for returns and exchanges are the buyer's responsibility unless the item received is incorrect or defective. USPS shipping is $5 each way. If your order qualifies for free shipping, the original shipping cost of $5 will be deducted from your refund. International Orders: Due to the high cost of international shipping, we regret that we cannot offer exchanges, returns, or repairs for international orders unless the wrong item was sent.

What is Gold Filled?

Gold filled is a metal composed of a solid layer of gold that is bonded to a core base metal through heat and pressure. It will not wear off over time, and if taken care of properly it can last a lifetime. They are indistinguishable externally from solid gold but costs significantly less because of its base metal core.

It differs significantly from gold plating. Gold plated jewelry consists of a thin, microscopic layer of gold that will wear off over time. The gold content on gold filled items is at least 15 times thicker than gold plated jewelry.

Unlike gold plated jewelry, it's safe to get your gold filled items wet. You can wear it to bed, in the shower, and while you exercise. We would generally suggest avoiding pools and hot tubs.
