Lunar hares are seen as symbols of fertility and many people believe that seeing a moon gazing hare will bring growth, rebirth, abundance, new beginnings and good fortune.

☽✪☾ If you choose to display your statue outside, it is perfectly normal for the sun and other elements to put normal wear and tear on it. Any type of painted statue (concrete, resin or ceramic) sitting in direct sunlight is likely to fade faster than one placed in a shady spot. If you live in a climate where there are freezing temperatures -- be advised you may want to bring your statues indoors for the winter months.

There's a hare in the moon tonight.
Crouching alone in the bright
buttercup field of the moon
and all the dogs in the world
howl at the hare in the moon

"I chased that hare to the sky"
the hungry dogs cry.
"The hare jumped to the moon
and left me here in the cold.
I chased that hare to the moon"

"Come down again, wild hare
we can see you there"
The dogs all howl to the moon.
"Come down again to the world,
you mad black hare in the moon."

"Or we will grow wings and fly
up to the star-grassed sky
to hunt you out of the moon"
The hungry dogs of the world
howl at the hare in the moon.
