"Pretty and Practical"~ Two words that often don't fit together. At first glance it might seem like they don't fit here. Ahhh, but they do! Not only are they a good fit,; they make perfectly good sense as well! Let me show you why--
I've titled these, "The Other Bib" as these bibs, unlike most baby bibs, aren't intended to be worn at mealtime to protect the baby's clothing. That's not the intention of these bibs. These are "dribble-bibs" meant for catching dribbles For example, you're taking baby to a special occasion. She's dressed in a pretty dress or outfit & it's time to go-- You glance down at your pretty baby in her pretty dress- and see the whole top of her dress is wet with drool from teething .She's at that stage. What can you do?
Enter, "Pretty and Practical"- This is what I've designed the "Other Bib" for. Hand knit with acrylic, machine washable & dryable yarn. these bibs are pretty enough to wear wherever you're going. Tied over the pretty dress or outfit, the bib will catch the dribbles; not the pretty outfit underneath. With just a simple pull of the tie, the bib can be removed at any time and your baby's outfit will have remained nice, and dry. It can also be helpful if someone hands your baby something like a teething biscuit. You don't have to worry thinking of the mess it will make on her dress. Simply pull out the bib, tie it on- no more worries! The bib will catch the mess and protect the baby's outfit~
How Practical is that?
And Pretty! These one of a kind bibs are designed to be pretty so that they may be worn to any occasion. Not only are they meant to protect the clothing underneath them, they are an excellent way to cover-up something like a small stain on the dress front or front of an outfit. I've knit them in 2 different color combinations in the hope that they will coordinate nicely with the clothes in baby's wardrobe. Each bib is hand embroidered with a different scene, composed as I stitch. Each bib is unique and one of a kind. I've hand crocheted a trim around the outside edge of each bib to help keep it from rolling. All it takes is a pat across the bib once it's tied on and the bib lies down flat. The yellow bib is knit from a light, worsted-weight slightly fluffy yarn .The blue bib is also knit from a worsted-weight yarn that is soft in texture, but not fluffy.
Knit from 100% acrylic yarn, the bibs are One Size Fits All, but depending on the yarn and needle sizes used to create them, the measurements vary slightly~. The yellow bib measures approximately 8" long and 8 1/8" wide. The blue bib measures approx. 9"long and 8 1/4" wide. These bibs make wonderful babu gifts and excellent heirlooms that will be treasured as well. They are wonderful baby shower gifts and even make adorable decor hanging in a baby's room! This is an accessory any mom would love to have. .
Hand knit especially with love~
