Paper Pattern and Tutorial - Stained Glass - Ammonite Fossil - option to include fossil --Neile Cooper

This stained glass pattern can accommodate an ammonite fossil (use your own 1.5" fossil, or buy one of the options here) in the center, though it also works great with glass in the center if you choose not to use a fossil specimen.

This pattern includes a 3 page tutorial for incorporating the ammonite fossil into the project (you'll need to customized the pattern to include a fossil), as well as two versions of the pattern - facing left and facing right - so that you can match it to your ammonite. The ammonite fossils are often sold in pairs, so with the two patterns, you'll be able to make panels with both halves. I'm also offering some splits with imperfections (unpolished areas, odd coloration, etc) "as-is" at a steep discount -- they're still pretty neat, but aren't "jewelry grade" .

This is a stained glass pattern designed by me, Neile Cooper, the creator of the Stained Glass Cabin and author of "Kicking Glass" (Herbert Press, 2022). It is designed for crafters, makers, and hobbyists in stained glass (see licensing info below).

You will receive in the mail:

ADD A FOSSIL!
If you would like an ammonite fossil from my collection to use in your piece, select the variation you prefer when you add the item to your cart. You can choose "split" (the front side is polished and detailed, the back is rougher but possibly opalescent), "whole" (an unsplit ammonite whose front and back look the same), or imperfect (a split fossil that is beautiful, but isn't quite jewelry grade - might have a polishing imperfection or odd mineralization). You can take a look at the photos, and let me know which number fossil you'd like; otherwise I'll send a random choice.

- This pattern is available in both printed (mailed) and digital (downloaded) versions under separate listings.

- The pattern is designed for the specified size. If you scale to a different size, you must consider that construction and structural issues may arise. Measure the calibration line on the pattern to check that pattern is printed at the specified size.

Licensing:
- Pattern is for both personal and non-mass produced commercial use. Purchaser may sell hand-made stained glass works made with this pattern, with credit given to Neile Cooper as the designer.
