How do I care for my jewelry?

Jewelry made from precious metals (particularly silver) may tarnish with time, this is completely normal, and doesn’t mean the piece is defective. To keep your jewelry looking new, gently rub with a polishing cloth, or simply wash with soap and water. I recommend avoiding contact with lotions, perfumes, or sprays. Remove jewelry before entering a pool or hot tub, as the chemicals can cause jewelry to discolour or tarnish. If your jewelry becomes very tarnished, toothpaste can be used to clean your jewelry as well.

What is 14K Gold Fill?

Gold fill is composed of a solid layer of 14 karat gold bonded with heat and pressure to brass. Strict regulations govern the process mandating the gold must make up a minimum 1/20 of the total weight of the piece. Gold-filled items are 50 to 100,000 times thicker than regular gold plating. So everything that touches your skin is 14K Gold.

These hoop earrings are made from 20 gauge *argentium silver, and handmade by me. A twist on the classic hoop, these earrings have been hammered to give them a great textured look. Each pair is individually made, so there will be slight variations from one pair to the next, this means that you will have a pair made just for you.

They are approximately an inch in length, and are lightweight as well.

*Argentium Silver is a purer form of Sterling Silver, and is more tarnish resistant than regular sterling silver. Argentium silver is made from recycled silver, so it's more sustainable and eco-friendly.
