The skull is an authentic reproduction of one of the sacred skulls carved by the Dayak tribe of the jungles of Borneo. The carvings are symbolic of the belief system of the Dayak, and represent their cosmology, religion and genesis. It's a faithful and anatomically correct reproduction of a Crab Eating Macaque monkey skull, complete with molars, a startling set of fangs and deep, hooded eye sockets.

Completely hand carved, the skull is cast in solid bronze. Before polishing, the skull is given a patina which really brings out all the tiny details all over this skull. Like all Lost Apostle jewelry, the skull is then protected against tarnishing - this is one skull that'll need no looking after.

The monkey skull measures just under 1" from the top to his jaw, and almost 3/4" across the widest point.

The skull comes on your choice of chain or leather - all leather necklaces are adjustable and come with our signature Lost Apostle clasp (shown in the last photo).
