Created with muted shades of red, white and blue this fiber art is quilted and appliqued to give it depth and texture. It was created as a challenge quilt and evolved into a project with many purposes...kids room decor, wall quilt, door decor, or statement to welcome the 'huddled masses'...your imagination is the limit.

Original design, Lady Liberty art quilt will greet your guests at the door for patriotic holidays like Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Veteran's Day and even Election Day. This would also work well in a classroom or school hallway. There are just so many places to display this one of a kind quilt year after year.

The pieced background has 'Lady Liberty" fused on as raw edge applique. This part was then quilted in a vertical star and wave pattern. Lady Liberty was then fused to the quilted background before adding decorative and functional satin stitching around each piece. Face and hair details are created with fabric art pens. my Handi-Quilter. Quilt edges are bound with printed navy from her dress and machine stitched for durability. The backing is the same fabric as dress and binding. Ready to hang with fabric hanging sleeve attached to the back.

Machine wash and dry.
