While I utilize my beautiful organic Calendula petals in some of my other salves and ointments, this is a no frills, very simple, calendula only recipe. It allows the plant to shine and do its job unhindered. It’s an everyday essential for those who love natural skincare.
*The final resulting color of Calendula infused oil depends heavily on the crop of flowers. A majority orange petals will result in a significantly different color than a majority yellow petals.

Your salve will be handcrafted in a small batch, as always. The flower petals of the Calendula come from organic, happy, healthy, and well tended plants and are lovingly hand gathered, tied and dried, hand garbled, and infused slowly for a minimum of 6-8 weeks. We then strain and drain it multiple times through many layers of organic cheesecloth to ensure a clear infusion, free from sediment. After an order is placed, it is paired with local raw beeswax to create the perfect salve consistency, then hand poured, labeled, and sent your way.

We hand make all of our products to order in small batches to ensure optimal freshness, consistency, and potency. Our products are not made to sit on store shelves for extended amounts of time. Salves can last 1-2 years if stored correctly (in a cool, dry, and dark place) however, dirty hands touching the salve over time can speed up an expiration date. Once opened, herbal skin care products become exposed to dirt and microorganisms that are found in the air and on the skin. As soon as you open and begin to use any product, simply the way in which you use it will affect its lifespan. When using a salve, always use clean, dry, hands or fingertips, as this will assist in preserving a longer shelf-life.
