This is another in my line of custom made pirate tricorn hats. Your hat will be almost identical to the one shown, only variation will be possibly a slightly different size straw in the hat body, and a different vintage gold pin. Other changes available upon request.
You can order as a gift certificate to allow the recipient to pick out their own trimmings or buy as a present to yourself! I will email certificate to you to print out with code for recipient to contact me and we'll work on their hat together until it's perfect!

I start with your choice of paper (Toyo) straw hat base or braided wheat or jute type hat base, then I shape it, and add hand pleated grosgrain ribbon in a dark ivory color. I choose a wide band of crocheted lace hand sew it to the hat brim. Then I finish it off with a ribbon cockade and vintage brooch as well as a heaping handful of feathers.

Included in this custom order

A paper straw/Toyo or natural straw, Wheat or Jute straw base, You choose. Paper straw is cheaper but a bit heavier it will stand up fine to getting wet multiple times. Wheat or jute straw is much lighter weight and better for historical accuracy purposes but is more expensive. I'll need your head size, measure around your head just above the tops of your ears :)

A ribbon cockade with gold metallic medallion or button (I'll provide photos of available stock) Or I can leave the cockade bare and you can add your own favorite pin or brooch!

All my hats have wired brims (upon request) and hand and machine sewn trims, no hot glue used. I take pride in creating one of a kind hats, no two are exactly alike. Photos shown are of hats that I have made for other happy customers.
