Highlights
Vintage / antique sew-on applique, featuring an exotic tropical bird
Probably dating from c. 1930
Has a silky floppy texture - some type of satin (probably rayon)
The bird is some type of exotic species, featuring long tail feathers and bright purple plumage. The colours are purple, brown and green with some gold metallic thread.
Probably manufactured in Holland.
Dimensions (measured at widest points) approx. 5" x 4" or approx. 13 cm x 10.5 cm
In very good condition. No noticeable flaws. Has never been used as an applique. Colours are bright. Stitching is intact
Please note that it has proved difficult to reproduce the colours totally accurately in the photos and that computer monitors can vary.
