This set is an ultimate ocean inspired beauty!

Many gastropods (snails and sea snails, of which the Conch is the latter) produce pearls, and those of the Queen Conch, have been collectors' items since Victorian times. These gorgeous stones have been used in jewellery mostly for the carving of cameos.

The Queen conch shell gemstones in these earrings are hand carved into a shape of clam shells. They display a gentle pastel pink colour, the colour of a precious deep sea pink coral. The shell in the pendant measures 20x18x5 mm. The earrings shells size is 11x10x3.8 mm.
All shells are very detailed, smooth and well polished, with a flat back. The pink colour is present on the carved side. The back side of the pieces is flat, with a natural shell white/pink colour with markings and inclusions typical of conch material.

The gems are half-drilled on top and are attached to gold plated (gold vermeil over sterling silver) findings.
Both the pendant bail and earrings findings are encrusted with sparkling cubic zirconia stones.

The chain is Gossamer™, "vermeil," 0.65mm twisted cable, 18 inches or 45 cm in length, with a spring ring clasp. This "barely there" chain has a 14Kt gold plating (1 micron thick) and is as gentle on skin as solid gold jewellery.
