The table is held in the folded up position by spring loaded hinges. When you are ready to use the desk, simply grab hold of the table, and pull it down to the down position, and it is ready for use.
The angle of the tabletop is adjustable by using a series of adjustment holes. This makes the whole table function as a perfect slant board, or drawing table. Just move the pins on each side to set the perfect ergonomic angle for you.
The sides and bottom of the desk and shelves have access holes for power cables to conveniently charge any devices.
The desk comes sanded, but unfinished. This allows you to paint it to fit your decor, or leave it plain to show off the wood grain. Baltic Birch plywood comes with occasional “patches” (usually shaped like footballs) where knots were removed in the manufacturing process. These may show up in various places on the desk. As with any natural wood, there may be natural color variations. There may also be small imperfections. Any knicks, scratches, chips can easily be fixed with a little sandpaper. As pictured, you can also use chalkboard paint, and turn the desk into a multipurpose chalkboard as well. Lots of options for you.
There are three shelves for storage. These shelves are adjustable and have notches (pictured) in the bottom of the shelf to lock it in place. This keeps the adjustable shelf from accidentally being pulled out.
This desk is shipped flat packed. Assembly will be required.

Desks are cute, right sized for a small NYC apartment and arrived quickly. There was an issue with an hinge that the seller (super responsive) resolved quickly. Assembly was easy, securing the desks to the wall less so, but that's telling more about my DIY skills than the desks 😉
