This contemporary cherry blossom painting is ON SALE. I’ve also reduced shipping costs, lowering it even more. Shipping a large painting can be expensive, especially with the new whooping increases we’ve experienced. I’m absorbing much of it’s cost as a further incentive.

This is a mixed media painting. It was painted on silk, creating amazing deep color. It was mounted on stretcher boards which are attractive but also create additional stability.
Cotton batting was attached to back of the painting with a small amount of free motion thread painting. This backing has given it real strength without sacrificing the beautiful color that silk produces,

It has been given a fabric protectant treatment at no charge. With all the added reinforcement I can confidently say that you need not worry about the durability of the silk.
Silk is a great medium to paint on on, it seems to grab color, deepen it, and reflect it. It is truly beautiful. Silk also seems to have a luminous quality.
It measures 37” by 13".
Because is mounted on stretcher boards with the sides completely covered by the colored silk, it does not need a frame. Look at the pictures posted to see how this looks, I think you’ll agree, no frame is needed. I hand painted the entire piece of fabric used in permanent paint.
It can be mounted directly on the wall.
