Grow Food Not Lawns - Mini Patch Fundraiser for Middle School Garden Compost Bins

School and Community Garden Fundraiser!

"Grow Food Not Lawns" cloth patches are made from scrap fabric that was either too small to be used for masks or not an appropriate mask fabric. All patches are approximately 3" x 2.5" and feature black screen printing ink. Patches are handmade: hand cut and hand printed so sizes and opacity of print varies!

These patches are being sold to raise funds for a special garden project! I teach at a wonderful, diverse International Baccalaureate middle school with a beautiful community garden. The garden has a large vegetable garden that we use to grow food for local food banks, a growing native pollinator garden, and a rather dilapidated compost area. We currently have a wooden three bin system that was originally built by a local high school and has been reinforced by community volunteers, but it has needed a complete overhaul for many years! Amazingly, a local Scout wants to make rebuilding our compost bins their Eagle Scout award project! We need your help to raise the money for needed materials so our community and school garden can start composting in earnest! Your purchase of a patch will directly fund this project, and the future ecological learning of years of middle schoolers to come! :)

8/22: With this patch and the Sprout Scouts patch, we currently have raised $255 for the compost project! Our goal for the compost project is $500, any additional funds will go to the accessibility path project :)
