I really like purple so as long as I was ordering red and green for Christmas, I thought "Why not throw in a purple one too." I especially like when it catches the light just right, the eyes have a reddish glow. Anyway, the purple is as well made as all the other colors we have so far. Survived unscathed when the large ceramic serving dish fell over on the dish drainer and landed right on top of it. Beautiful purple color that changes in the light. Very pleased with it and it's maker. We have been collecting handblown glass since 1975 and have run out of room in our display cabinets for decorative pieces and run out of room in our home for more cabinets and shelves (husband is resisting my idea to build an annex onto the house) so I may as well buy useful practical pieces right?
