Vintage from the 1900s

Here is a completely charming early 20th century French 'LouLou' dog pyjama case. She also makes an excellent novelty bag or purse today as she has a zipped compartment to her base. These fine quality dog cases were made in France in around 1900-1910. She is made from what looks to be a curly mohair or sheepskin and she has glass eyes.

She measures 20" inches by 11" inches and is in good overall condition with some signs of her age and use. There are some marks to the base and some wear to her ear and she has lost the leather covering to her nose. She also has a feint smell of perfume. Nevertheless, her facial expression is wonderful and because of this she is a particularly good example of a 'LouLou' antique dog. Please see all the photos and zoom in for details.
