A perfect pattern to have in your pattern stash. This hat pattern will be sure to add that extra touch you've been needing to complete your child's outfit. Classic and practical your child will never want to take it off. I explain how to add hidden elastic allowing for flexibility in fit and most of all a comfortable fit.

This pattern gives instructions to make two different sizes. A child size for a head circumference between 18-21 inches, around ages 2-4. And a youth size for a head circumference 19-22, around ages 5-8.

This hat is easy to sew but I would rate it at an ambitious beginner. However those with the most sewing experience will enjoy this one too!

Fabric requirements:

*1/2 yard of exterior fabric - I recommend corduroy however any medium to heavy weight material will work great.
*1/3 yard of interior fabric - lightweight cotton, such as quilter cotton.
*1/4 yard of fusible interfacing
1/2" elastic

Our vinyl decals can be applied to most surfaces, including walls, finished wood, mirrors, tile, glass and plastic.

The vinyl I use is Oracal 631. The manufacturer has stated that this type of vinyl will not stick to some types of Teflon/stain resistant paints or Low VOC/VOC Free paints (the newer environmentally friendly paints). Please take this into consideration before placing your order. If you still choose to order with this type paint on your walls and the decal does not stick, NO refunds or replacement decals will be issued.

Decals are removable and generally do not leave any type of residue.

However, please note that for all decals using OUTDOOR quality vinyl these are meant to be semi permanent and may result in damage when removed. For this type of vinyl I recommend use on glass (car windows), plastic, or a surface you will not mind if slight damage occurs. This type of vinyl is best removed with a razor blade and then cleaned up with a "goo gone" type remover.
