Being John Malkovich-An Original Vintage British Movie Poster the Spike Jonze Surrealist Comedy with John Cusack and Cameron Diaz.
From renowned director, Spike Jonze, and the endlessly inventive writer Charlie Kaufman comes the incredible surrealist comedy about John Malkovich: "Famous Puppeteer".
Down on his luck puppeteer Craig Schwartz and animal lover and pet store clerk Lotte Schwartz are just going through the motions of their marriage. Despite not being able to earn a living through puppeteering, Craig loves his profession as it allows him to inhabit the skin of others. He takes that desire to the next level when he is forced to take a job as a file clerk for the off-kilter LesterCorp, located on the 7½ floor of a Manhattan office building. Behind one of the filing cabinets in his work area, Craig finds a hidden door which he discovers is a portal into the mind of John Malkovich. Each visit through the portal lasts fifteen minutes after which the traveler is ejected as a moist projectile into a ditch next to the New Jersey Turnpike. Craig is fascinated by this discovery and shares it with Lotte...
The acting is brilliant... Cameron Diaz is nearly unrecognizable, as is John Cusack and the always mesmerizing Catherine Keener. John Malkovich was presented with an interesting opportunity in playing himself, and he seems to have seized the opportunity with relish. He ends up creating this wonderful fictional character of John Malkovich "The Vessel". This film is astounding. Attempting to explain the plot in any way that would do it justice would be an exercise in futility, but let it be said that you'll never see a movie like this brain and soul twister.
