(1) Vintage New Old Stock 1950's Kreisler 'Genuine Saddle' Watchband

Backgrounder :

Produced in the late 1940's and or early 50's this particular watchband is in as new condition or 'NOS'. Having originally sold for near $1.50 this type of band would have been a luxury being the equivalent of $30 for the average blue collar guy in the late 40's or early 50's. I originally found 10 + of these as part of a large dead stock inventory purchase from a retired watch shop owner out of Ohio. Although some of these handsome bands were found on the original displays, many bands have faired much better then the original displays. I am sure that many other purist and vintage collector's out there are looking for just such a piece....Enjoy!!

Condition:

This band up for auction is NOS and in extremely nice condition. Again, this band is in as new condition or 'NOS'. Rugged stitched and hand finished 'Genuine Saddle' with calfskin backing, leather construction with finished and waxed edges. To compliment is a Gold Tone buckle . Band in excellent condition showing little to no signs of shelf and display wear and could be used in current condition. Leather is very supple and should only improve with wear as oils from the new owners skin should help to condition the leather and stitching. Length of band is roughly 7 1/4" down to 6 1/4" and should easily fit a small to medium wrist. Distance at lug attachments is roughly 3/4" and should fit a watch with 3/4" lug.

*This watchband would make a great addition to anyone's collection or for daily use providing you with a unique and reliable accessory for your vintage timepiece.
