I have a disability. For some, this disability has obvious physical features. For me, however, there are few initially obvious features. Thus, on me, it can be an invisible handicap.

I once went to an event specifically for people with my disability and was asked "So, how are you affiliated with *this disability*". I told him that I had it. He started at me in disbelief.

It's a common misconception that if you have a disability, there must be an outward sign, albiet a wheelchair, a limp or some kind of acute physical abnormality.

The same applies to the kind of car someone drives. Many assume that if someone drives a sports car, there is no possible way that they could have a type of disability, thus disqualifying them from needing a disabled parking permit.

For those with disabilities like Cystic Fibrosis, Lupus, Asthma, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, or heart defects a parking spot may still be needed despite the public not being able to detect their disability. For people like these, their use of the parking spot is met with scrutiny and scorn.

This sticker reminds those who are critical that not all disabilities are outwardly obvious.
