925 Sterling Silver

925 Sterling Silver is 92.5% Fine Silver and 7.5% Copper. 99.9% Fine Silver is not strong enough alone and needs that Copper alloy for strength and to ensure that it lasts as a piece of jewelry. Your skin won't turn green (oxidize) with 925 Sterling Silver.

Gold Vermeil

Gold Vermeil (pronounced 'Vermay') is a process of gold plating a 925 Sterling Silver base metal with a surface layer of gold. The thickness of that layer of gold must be at least 2.5 microns (or micrometers) in order to be considered a vermeil finish. This lasts longer than most other types of gold plated jewelry since much of what is sold elsewhere wears through quickly due to how thin they are plated and are typically plated over cheaper metals that will oxidize. Our Gold Vermeil finish has the aesthetic and color of 14K Yellow Gold, but the true karat amount of gold used in this process is actually 24K (99.9% gold).

14K Yellow Gold

14K Yellow Gold is 58.3% Gold and 41.7% other metals (alloys) — Silver, Copper, & Zinc. 14K will be more resistant to scratching, bending, & scuffing than 18K due to the higher percentage of the other metals mixed in to make it harder and more durable. This also makes it more affordable than 18K.

18K Yellow Gold

18K Yellow Gold is 75% Gold and 25% other metals (alloys) — Silver, Copper, & Zinc. The higher “K” (karat) amount, the more yellow. So 18K will have more yellow tones to it than 14K will. Although this metal will be softer and more prone to scratches, bending, scuffing, etc. — some people prefer it due to its’ higher quantity of Gold and to the yellower hues it has. People who maintain their jewelry well or prefer the worn look also tend to prefer 18K Yellow Gold.

What's My Ring Size?

There are many ways people check their ring sizes. The best way is to go into a local jeweler and get sized. You can also find ways online by using a string or a piece of paper or measuring the diameter / circumference of the rings you already have. If you are still unsure of your fingers' ring sizes, select "Send me a ring sizer" under 'Ring Size' at checkout. Go through with the purchase and we will send you an envelope with a ring sizer in it. Use that to find out your size and contact us so we can get started on your ring. It will arrive in the mail shortly after!

Maintenance

By wearing your jewelry every day, your natural skin oils help keep your ring shiny! You’ll want to beware of exposure to any harsh chemicals like chlorine and cleaning agents. We recommend using a Sunshine® Polishing Cloth once a day to enhance the shine even more. We sell these cloths individually sold in a tube for $7.50.

I gladly accept returns and exchanges. Contact me within 7 days of delivery and hip items back within 14 days of delivery. Buyers are responsible for return shipping costs. If the item is not returned in its original condition, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value.

Please know your size before placing an order. We are willing to make exchanges for ring sizing issues although we prefer to get it right the first time since each ring is made to order, making whatever ring you return part of an inventory for us.
