Black and White Stairsteps Art Quilt PDF Pattern Easy Corner
Digital file type(s): 1 PDF
Make this easy work of art the scrappy way in black and white! Cut only squares and there are NO inset seams!! Or use scrappy fabrics in two basic colors!
There are two layouts (Stairway to Nowhere and Up + Down) and three sizes included. Make a Small (34” x 38”), Medium (52” x 58”) or Large (71” x 79”) quilt. The Easy Corner™ technique and piecing by rows makes it easier than it looks, but this is still an intermediate quilt.
The challenge in this pattern is choosing the fabrics, layout, and matching rows. Details and instructions are given to help you achieve a masterpiece quilt. Quilt is pieced in ROWS, not blocks, which gives the stairstep effect.
PDF pattern contains Cutting Worksheets & Instructions, General Instructions, Easy Corner™ Instructions, Putting It Together, Leftovers Ideas, Up + Down Layout, Stairway to Nowhere Layout, and Generic Layout (to design your own).
Each quilt yields leftover triangle squares to make a table centerpiece, wall hanging, baby pillow, or placemats!

I made this book bag for my niece's 11th birthday. Turned out so cute! I jazzed up the outside with ribbon accent and "groovy" flowers. I guess tie-dye and 70s style is back in style.
This pattern was extremely easy to follow! The pictures are great and the explanations are very helpful! Very impressed with this. I have almost finished my purse. The part that takes the longest is getting everything cut out and interfaced. The rest went very quickly!
Really easy to follow. Fabric glue did not work so I used shoe goo instead. I made the straps longer.
This pattern turned out great! It took me a little time & a message to the seller to figure out one of the steps but all in all it was pretty easy to assemble. I will make more for myself and for gifts. :)
