SVG stands for scalable vector graphic. A vector does not lose its quality when it is expanded or compressed, unlike pixel based images (for example JPG or PNG image files). SVGs have many applications, but one main use is with cutting machine software, such as the Cricut Explorer Air or Cricut Maker, or Silhouette Cameo cutting machines. SVGs can also be used in other software like CorelDRAW for laser engraving, but CNC and similar type machines may require DXF files, which are also included in each order.

What is included in each bundle?

Each digital download description says what's included, but in general, you'll receive 1 SVG file with the design(s), 1 DXF file with the design(s), 1 JPG of each design, and 1 PNG of each design. In the case where the digital download has more than 1 design, each design is separated individually in the JPG and PNG file so that they can be easily printed if you would like. The JPG and PNG files are very high resolution and can be used as printable wall art.

Are all of these files personally tested?

Yes! Once I create the design, I cut out the SVG file on my Cricut maker with vinyl to ensure the cut is detailed and well made. You'll see my test cut usually as the second picture under each listing with a wooden background. These are real cuts, not mockups! Unfortunately I do not have the ability to test out the files on Silhouette or other cutting or laser engraving software, but I have not had any problems so far. If you do find that the files are not working right, please message me right away and I will work with you to get it working!

Can you customize a design for me?

I prefer not to create custom designs, but please message me if you would like something altered to fit your needs. We can try working together to make it come to life, but please note that going forwards, the minimum fee for customizing an existing design is $25.00 CAD and may increase depending on complexity of the design. Thank you.

How do I use this ZIP file? How do I access my files?

Please try right clicking the file and looking for an "extract to folder" or "extract here" option. Extracting the file allows you to access the files inside, including the SVG, DXF, JPG, and PNG Files. If you're confused, don't hesitate to send me a message for help!

Can I use your designs to sell things?

Each design comes with a limited commercial license. This allows you to use the designs to make an unlimited number of personal items (which you are NOT selling) and up to 500 products for sale. These items that you sell must be made by your own hand. For example, if you use the design to cut out heat transfer vinyl and iron it onto a shirt, you can sell up to 500 shirts with the design. However, you made NOT sell a shirt with the design that you outsource to a 3rd party, such as Printful, Redbubble, etc. Please message me if you have any questions.
