Ready to cut large sized slip top box, use only 4 sheets - takes 5 minutes to assemble.

So, this is a simple box to make, but with slightly decorative edges so it looks nice right from the off.

You can engrave the top directly (or add an additional panel to make a smooth top).
** engravings are not included - but you can add whatever you want **

I have used this file for Wedding Memory Boxes, Anniversary Box, Birthday and Christmas boxes.

This is a large size - holds either A4 or Letter sized paper.

Interior dimensions are 314 / 217 / 74 mm or 12.4 x 8.5 x 2.9 inches

Wall thickness is 6mm or 1/4 inch

Takes only 4 sheets of material - so very efficient.

This is sized for 3mm materials.

The whole idea is an "affordable" and "quick to make" box that works for many different purposes.

Make it with something smart like an Oak or Cherry veneer and it will look terrific.

Paint it or stain it with a basic material like pine or beech and it can be customised how you want.

Make it out of MDF and you've got a large box for way less than $5 worth of materials.

Add engravings to top and/or sides and you've got something very smart - highly saleable.

Etsy only allows 5 files per download, but if you want the plain top as well, just email me, it is a simple rectangle.



Digital files are ready colored and separated - they are sized for Glowforge Proofgrade sheets - just load them and go!

You may create as many physical objects as you like from this file.

You may NOT sell this digital file - or any digital files derived from this source material.

Digital file means any single or multiple files provided.

IMPORTANT: Your licence does NOT allow sales of physical products to the United Kingdom.


Settings:

You will need to select the appropriate settings for the material you are cutting.

However, all our files use the same colour coding:

Blue = Score, not cut.

Green = Engrave

Red, Purple, Yellow = Cut

Black = Cut file - or may be hints on making.


All files are prepared for the Glowforge format.

If you load the file it will be ready to cut from the top left of the cutting area.

All you should need to do is select Score or Engrave where required.

These files are typically designed for 3mm thickness materials, whether wood, draftboard, MDF or acrylic.

In general you should not need to adjust for kerf, but as all laser and all materials differ, these may be occasionally required.
