This gorgeous cushion cover is made using traditional Kantha fabric. The fabric is a quilted cotton fabric hand stitched to create the kantha design.

Kantha originated from the way in which Bengali women mended old clothes by taking out a strand of thread from the colorful border of their saris and making simple designs with them. This has developed into the style we see today, where multiple layers of fabric are hand stitched together using coloured threads, creating a quilted fabric with stitched patterns.

Please note: our cushion covers are handmade so may have slight imperfections.
The cushion covers are cut from one bolt of fabric, so each cover will display a different section of the printed design. The cushion cover you receive may not be an exact match to the one pictured.
